Privacy policy
JobPulse is job-management software that contractor companies licence from Rough Draft LLC, a Kansas limited liability company doing business as JobPulse ("JobPulse", "we"). This policy covers the information that passes through the service: the contractor's office users, the subcontractor crews they schedule, and the clients they send estimates to. It is written to be read, not skimmed. If something here is unclear, write to support@jobpulsellc.com.
Who we are, and whose data this is
Each contractor company that uses JobPulse is the owner of the records it keeps in the service: its job sites, schedule, crews, estimates and billing. JobPulse processes that data to run the service for the contractor. We do not use it for our own marketing and we do not sell it.
What we collect
From office users
- Name, username, email address, role and the company you belong to.
- Sign-in records: the device name you gave, a device identifier, the time, and the network address, kept so that a lost or shared sign-in can be ended.
- Error reports from the app, with passwords, tokens and customer email addresses removed before they leave the device.
From subcontractor crews
- Company name, crew name, contact name, phone number, email address, insurance dates and pay records, entered by the contractor's office.
- If you opt in to job texts: the mobile number you agreed to be texted at, when and how you agreed, the wording you agreed to, and any STOP or START reply. See the text messaging terms.
- When you answer a job link: your answer, the time, and the network address and browser it came from.
From clients and homeowners
- Name, email address, phone number and project address, entered by the contractor.
- When you approve or decline an estimate or a change order: your answer, typed name, signature, the time, and the network address and browser it came from.
Why we collect it
- To run the service: scheduling, estimates, change orders, billing, the job-site journal.
- To send the messages the contractor asks us to send: estimate and change-order emails, schedule confirmations, delivery digests to suppliers, and job-assignment texts to crews who opted in.
- To keep a record of agreements and answers that the contractor and its clients or crews may later need to rely on.
- To keep the service secure and to find faults.
Text messaging
Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. The mobile number a crew lead agrees to be texted at, the record of that agreement, and any opt-out are used only to send and stop the job texts described in the text messaging terms. They are never sold, rented, or passed to anyone for marketing. Our SMS delivery provider receives the number and the message text in order to deliver each message, and nothing else.
Who sees it
- The contractor company whose records they are, through its office users.
- Service providers we use to run JobPulse, each bound to use the data only to provide their service to us: our hosting provider, our email and SMS delivery provider (Brevo), and our push-notification providers. We do not use advertising networks or analytics trackers on the service.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it or you ask us to.
We never sell personal information. We never share it for another company's marketing.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
- Job, schedule and billing records: for as long as the contractor's account is active, and as its own records thereafter.
- Agreement, approval and consent records (including text-messaging opt-ins and opt-outs): at least five years, because they are the evidence of what was agreed.
- Sign-in and error records: up to 30 days for error reports; sign-in records until the session is ended and for a short period after.
- Nightly backups of the service are kept for a rolling period and then overwritten.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Each contractor company's records are kept in a separate database. Passwords are stored only as hashes; link tokens are stored only as hashes; stored credentials for integrations are encrypted at rest. Office sign-ins can require a second factor and a trusted device.
Your choices
- Crews: reply STOP to any job text to end them, or ask the contractor's office. Ask the office to correct your contact details.
- Clients: an approval link is valid for a limited time and can only be used once. To correct or remove your details, contact the contractor who sent it.
- Office users: see Settings in the app for your sessions and the agreements you have accepted.
- Anyone: write to support@jobpulsellc.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask for its deletion where the law allows.
Children
JobPulse is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the effective date above. A change that matters to crews who receive texts is announced to the contractor companies, who tell their crews.
